| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Signal | A saved watch: a name, a crawl interval, and one or more sources. Owns a pile of clips. |
| Source | One platform + mode + query (+ region, retention, depth) inside a signal. |
| Mode | What torii fetches for a source: search, hot, recommended, or posts (specific accounts). |
| Wall | The paged, filterable grid of clips for the selected signal. |
| Clip | One video post as crawled: cover, title, author, stats, preview, timestamp. |
| Preview | The low-res, full-length copy torii renders at crawl time for hover-to-play. |
| Provenance | Where a source’s result came from: live, cache, empty, blocked, error. |
| Retention | How long a clip stays after it was last seen. Unset = forever. A pin exempts a clip. |
| Depth | How many items a posts source walks per crawl; unset = one deep walk, then new items only. |
| Interval / floor | How often a signal crawls; a platform floor is the fastest any signal may crawl that platform. |
| Artifact | A collected clip: a record of yours with a folder, a recipe, and a rendered file. |
| Recipe | What torii does to the video before download: metadata strip, de-watermark, crop, trim, custom boxes. |
| Verdict | torii’s honest answer after a render: applied (removed something) or none (found nothing). |
| Job | One unit of background work: crawl, render, publish, scan. Durable, retryable, cancellable. |
| torii | The crawler service: holds sessions, fetches, renders, publishes. Reached through an API key. |
| API key / scope | A torii bearer token bound to one Doxaform user; read for crawling, write for publishing. |
| Profile / session | One logged-in social account inside torii, kept warm; ready or dead. |
| Account (Accounts tab) | An account you publish through in Doxaform — platform + handle + torii profile. |
| Dry run / armed | A disarmed post or rule logs what it would do; armed ones publish. The deployment switch gates all of them. |
| Blocked ≠ empty | The rule everything is built on: a platform’s refusal is shown as such, never as “no results”. |
