Signals and sources
A signal is a saved watch. It has a name, a crawl interval, and one or more sources. Each source is one platform plus what to fetch there:
Press + New to create a signal, or the ⚙ on a card to edit it.
The editor: name, interval, and the source list — each row is platform · mode · query · region.
- Retention — how long a clip stays after it was last seen. Unset means keep forever; nothing is pruned unless you choose a window.
- Depth — for posts sources, how many items to walk on every crawl. Leave it unset and Doxaform does one deep walk of the account’s timeline the first time (bounded by the retention window), then only picks up what is new.
Interval
The default interval is 30 minutes, set deployment-wide under Settings → Deployment. A signal can crawl faster or slower — but never faster than its platforms’ floors (for example Douyin is floored at 30 minutes because faster search crawls were mostly refused). The card shows the effective interval. The wall
Newest first, one page at a time. Every card carries the cover, title, author, platform badge, duration, view/like/comment counts and a🕒 N ago stamp from the post’s own timestamp.
- Hover to play. After a short pause the card plays a low-res preview. Move the cursor left and right across the card to scrub — the left edge is the start, the middle is halfway. A small chip means the preview is still rendering; give it a moment. Previews are rendered at crawl time, so most cards play instantly. (YouTube cards have no preview yet — you get the cover.)
- Filters. Platform, sort, text search, minimum likes, freshness, orientation, duration, minimum views and comments — all applied server-side over the whole pile, so the count is always the true count. With an OpenRouter key bound, type a phrase into the AI filter and it becomes ordinary chips you can remove one by one.
- ⏸ / ↻ in the wall header pause the live drip or force a crawl now.
Clip detail
Click a card:The clip detail: the stream, comments, and the actions.
- Play the full clip; read the comments.
- Pin keeps the clip forever regardless of retention.
- Collect copies it into Artifacts where you can clean and download it.
- Tags — your own vocabulary; manage the list under Settings → Account.
- Purge deletes the clip from the wall — and it will not come back on the next crawl.
- ← / → step through the wall without closing the detail.
The status strip
Under the wall, one badge per signal tells you what the last crawl actually did. Hover it for the per-source breakdown:
A partial gate is shown as such — “3/10 rate_limited” on a ten-account posts source means seven
accounts delivered. The tooltip also shows the torii session verdict for that platform, so
“re-login it in torii” appears exactly when that is the fix.
